ScooterLab, a family story driven by passion and commitment for 20 years

Twenty years ago, our family adventure began with a single ambition : to share our love of board sports and offer the very best to our customers.

It all started with a trip to the United States, when the founder’s son, Charles – now the head of the company – discovered a new way to ride in California. Fascinated by this new world, he brought back a Streetsurfing.

“People would stop me in the street to ask what this different kind of board was.”

Back in France, the enthusiasm was so strong that Gilles MARTIN decided to found SDG Distribution.

Streetsurfing products quickly met with great success across Europe. But the adventure didn’t stop there. In 2009, freestyle scooters entered the world of action sports — and we couldn’t stay away. The desire to discover new sports and help them grow became clear.

Convinced of its potential, we introduced the first iconic brands into Europe : Blunt Scooters and Ethic Scooter. Others followed, and we soon became a specialist and leader in freestyle scooters in Europe.

In the years that followed, the company expanded by growing its brand portfolio and product range, always with one goal : to be the go-to scooter specialist in Europe.

Today, 20 of us work hand in hand to support our customers.
